Hello! We’re so glad you are interested in exploring the ways you can volunteer in the Main Street Community. We are excited about the mission we have together. We are glad for your interest in joining us in that mission. There are a number of areas in which you can volunteer that are outlined below, feel free to explore and pray about which areas God is asking you to be involved in. Also, we are always open to new ideas, if you don’t see something here you’d like to see happening please bring the idea to our attention.
We are here to help you find the best role for you that meet the needs of our community.
Please fill-out the Volunteer Application Form so we can get to know one another better and assist you in becoming a volunteer at Main Street. This form allows you to check-off which areas of ministry you are interested in finding out more about. We’ll use this form to put you in contact with the right ministry person who can tell you more about volunteering in that area. The form can be e-mailed directly to any of the Pastors, Norine or dropped-off at the church office.
If you are seeking to volunteer with children and youth, you will also be required to get a criminal record check done. Don’t worry these don’t tell us what parking tickets you’ve got and only serve to tell us if you are cleared to work with children and youth. All police checks are locked in the church offices and are only seen by the Pastors. Any ministry with children and youth always takes place in pairs.
Here is our Volunteer Handbook, that outlines the care we take in ensuring we create an environment that is caring, welcoming and safe for children/youth and volunteers. Each fall all our volunteers are provided training to equip them for great ministry, this training includes an explanation of the Volunteer Handbook.
