Help for First time Visitors

We recognize that visiting a new church for the first time can be a bit scary.  We want to help make your first visit to Main Street as seamless as possible.  If you are thinking of attending and have other questions, don’t hesitate to ask us ahead of time (642.8060).

Location

We are located on 211 Main Street in the North End.  You enter our auditorium through the entrance on Metcalfe Street. Map

Parking

We have a few options for you but please allow yourself a few minutes on Sunday to find a parking spot.

·    Main Parking lot, accessed off of Metcalfe Street. If you are coming for our 9 am service and want to leave right after, you will want to make sure you don’t get stuck in this lot.

·    Victoria Street: there is a vacant lot on Victoria Street which Main Street owns for parking

·    Dykeman’s Hardware: located on Adelaide Street. 

·    Street parking is also available.

Is there anything for kids?

Nursery: we have a nursery for new newborns to 24 months.  We also have a toddler nursery for children ages 2-3.  You can take your children to the nursery at any time, either before the service or during the service.  If your child is in the infant nursery, you will receive a pager so you can be notified if your child needs you.

For kids ages 4-grade five we have a children’s worship time called SonCity.  SonCity uses multimedia, drama and story telling to allow children to worship in their own language.  Children will join their parents for the first part of the worship service and then they will see a slide that says “Children can now leave for SonCity.”  If you are new, it would be helpful if you went with them and signed them in.  When the service is over, children will not be permitted to leave the SonCity room until their parent (or guardian) picks them up. 

How long will church last? 

Our services are usually 60-70 minutes in length. We have an 9 am and 11:10am service.

What do I do when I get there?

When you enter you will be greeted and offered a program.  There is also a welcome desk in the main entrance where we have info on our church if you would like.  Follow the downward slope to the entrance of our sanctuary.  There an usher who will help you find a seat will greet you. 

Offering

Each Sunday we have a time in our service where our members & regular attendees give to support the ongoing mission and ministry.  As our guest, we want you to feel no obligation to participate.
