Youth Summer Mission Tour

Ready to be stretched and challenged in your faith? For the youth mission tour this year we'll be taking a small group of students to Toronto, Ontario partnering with Walmer Road Baptist Church from July 27^th to Aug. 4^th, 2012. Interested parents and students must attend an information meeting on Wed. Feb. 8^th at 7 pm in the parlour at Main Street Church.  The goals of the mission trip are to:

1. Expose the team to the issues surrounding poverty in Canada and in urban centres in particular.

2. Expose the team to a variety of Christian responses to those on the fridges of society.

3. Individually stretch each of the students to share their faith and serve in a way that causes them to rely on God and develop their gifts in new, deeper ways.

Winter Retreat for Youth: Fri. Feb. 17^th to Sun. Feb. 19^th

Crazy games, crazy fun and crazy life change! All Middle School and High School youth are invited to join us for a fun-filled winter weekend at Hampton Bible Camp.  The camp is well equipped with a sports field, sledding hill, ice pond, trails and indoor games too.  All meals and snacks are included in the cost of the trip ($75). Permission slips and details are available by clicking here and at the church welcome centre. Money & slips are due by Feb. 12^th/12.

GriefShare is an opportunity to help you recover from a deep hurt that comes from the loss of someone close to you.  It has three components: a video, small group discussion and, take home reflection exercises.   We would invite you to join us if you have lost someone and have yet to deal with the loss, whether recently or not so recently. Griefshare will be led by Beverly Steeves and Margo Hall and will be held Sunday nights at 6:30 pm starting Marchr 25^th.  In order to properly prepare, we will need to know how many are coming, so please let us know if you plan to attend by calling the church office 642-8060 or speaking with one of the Pastors.
